Young political activists have yet to grow up?

anyone ever notice these little college hippies sitting on these forums talking about how theyre going to change the world and end poverty and promote world peace and all this cheesy crap? sounds like they either need to grow up and learn the harsh realities of reality, or they need to quit smoking so much weed and get back to reality.

its just funny how theyre so naive and optimistic when theyre 20, then when they become 40 the cliche's dont mean anything anymore because they realize that its incredibly difficult to help someone who wont help themselves.

Oh Usama.... what good are we doing for those people giving them handouts??? Creating a vicious cycle that wont be stopped anytime soon. Telling people they dont have to find work. So, no, making people dependant on the govt. is not Christ-like.

I have a huge optimistic attitude and as a health care worker in my 30s, I probably know better then most that it is difficult to help someone who won't help themselves, but I practice patience and learn techniques on how to speak and motivate others. It would be easier and more effective to just put a gun to their head but with force comes resistance and that never works.Young political activists have yet to grow up?They have so much to learn, they are very ignorant of the world around them.
