Presidential primary?

In Virginia, do you have to be a part of the political party in order to vote in its presidential primary? If so, how do I change my political party affiliation?Presidential primary?I know how it is in Texas and it's probably the same in Viriginia, but during a primary you can vote for any candidate in any primary, i.e. republican or democrat. You have to choose which party's primary you're voting in, but it does not commit you to vote for that party's candidate in the general election. Hope this helps!
